About the Sarbaugh Law Firm

Established in 1992 by Attorney Bruce W. Sarbaugh, the Sarbaugh Law Firm was founded on the principle that the best outcomes for our clients result from combining expert legal knowledge with a unique ability to effectively communicate legal principles and a tireless pursuit of justice. We have successfully represented clients in courtrooms across the front range, but pride ourselves on being a local Boulder law firm.

We have worked long and hard to establish a positive professional working relationship with the District Attorney’s office and as a result are often able to negotiate better resolutions to cases than most other firms. We are dedicated to providing the best legal representation to our clients, whether through dogged plea negotiations or a vigorous defense at trial. Our success in applying that philosophy to each and every client is best reflected by our 5-star ratings on almost every attorney referral platform.

About Attorney Bruce W. Sarbaugh

As a Boulder native, born and bred, I have had the privilege to live and practice in Boulder my entire career. I received my law degree from the University of Colorado School of Law in 1986 and was honored with the Legal Aid and Defender program outstanding service award. I am a member of the Colorado and Boulder Bar Associations, the Colorado Criminal Defense Bar, the highly selective Nation College for DUI Defense, the National Association of Criminal Defense Attorneys, as well as the Boulder Area Rental Housing Association, the CU/City Task Force, and chair the CU Landlord/Tenant Advisory Board.

In 2011 I received my black belt in Tai Kwan Do and my Second Degree black belt in 2014. I am an avid mountain biker and love the mountains, but also love the Caribbean, having spent two years living in St. Croix, USVI, where I represented the Territory in juvenile delinquency and criminal cases, as well as enjoying the beach and scuba diving.

I currently serve as the Legal Advisor to students at the University of Colorado where I am involved in non-academic education with students involved in lease signing, landlord disputes, and roommate issues. I am also a youth minister at our church. I feel my work and life is most meaningful and fulfilling serving others, which I translate into my practice on a daily basis and feel the highest calling of a defense attorney is not only to protect my clients’ Constitutional rights, but to also explain those rights and the criminal justice system to my clients so that they understand their options and can make the best decision on how to resolve their legal issues.
